Happy landing

Easter Sunday we landed in Perth and were welcomed by a dear friend Satrup. She took us to the house of Prabutha where we will stay and practically prepare for our lives here. It is great to land with beloveds and to receive all the help in arranging things. On top of it the women and Joy love each other too, so I can truly say: all is well.

Though shopping is far from my favorite past time, we have to do it a lot. Driving around to get a car seat, change the drivers license, get registered here and there; far from fun but with support from a dear friend bearable. Now it is a matter of keeping the head cool as we are at the point of buying a car that hopefully brings us to Broome safely and will last us some years for a fair price. Having faith...

Meanwhile it is so good to be in Australia, to hear the singing of birds of which I have missed the sound so deeply (magpie) only to be exchanged for the songs of the cicades at night. Bless bless Australia and its native animals, plants, flowers and more. It is so good being here and for once, after long long time whishes, to know that we can stay. And that my child can grow up here. I am deeply happy.

Till soon,
Fae

Finally back in Australia! Well done Fae & Joy!

Enjoy your free time and the shopping experience, because even though it's not your favourite waste of time, building a new life will hopefully leave a nice and lasting feeling.

Cheers,
Jerome

Fae & Joy,

Just read your story about your time in Australia, and I find it amazing! You are truly a bush girl (or at least, was before). We will have to meet, share experiences etc.(not that I've done any mustering though....) but I am a bit a "bush" girl as well, trapped in the city (for now). I'd love to take my 1984 Nissan Patrol and come to Broome. If you need any advice on buying the 4wd, send me a PM (through Xpdite). I bought mine for $7000 in Oct 2003 and it's still as strong as ever! I will not part with my 4wd.....
