Peace One Day 2013

Hello friends, From 280 million people aware of Peaceday to 3 billion? That is what we strive for. Who will you make peace with? Is this years theme. Would you like to pay some attention to this in our community this week?? Join in one of the activities below and feel free to forward on... AVP Kimberley has prompted all librarians in town (public and school) to have a week of awareness raising for all students in the lead up to 21 September. This may extend into the Kimberley. SMC primary students will soon share their activity results on FB with us. We will be at the Courthouse Markets Saturday morning to further promote awareness of the day. Feel free to come along and join in. If you share your Peace pledge with us you will get a FREE Peace of Cake and photo opportunity. There is an interactive display on at the Public Library about Peace. From 10-1pm Vanda will have a Set for Peace on her radio show at Goolarri, make sure you tune in if you can. 99.7fm Justine from Zumba Broome will do a free One Day One Dance at Cable Beach sunset time, make sure you get there 4.30pm for a timely start of swinging to Peace. Anybody can sign up to participate in an AVP Community Basic workshop in October. If your friends are curious this is the time to enquire. Also we have just ran a successful Alternatives to Violence Project basic workshop in Nookanbah.
